Mancherial: A forest section officer was suspended for failing to follow protocol during a tour of PCCF (Wildlife) Elusing Meru to Kawal Tiger Reserve recently. An order to this effect was issued by Kawal Field Director Shantaram on Thursday.

As per the order, Jannaram in-charge FSO B Shesharam Naik was placed under suspension for showing negligence in following the protocol accorded to the PCCF at the time of his tour. Meru toured the reserve to study feasibility of identifying and development of ecotourism spots in Kawal on June 2.

Meanwhile, memos were issued to Jannaram in-charge FDO Shiv Aashish Singh and Jannaram in-charge FRO V Shushma Rao for failing to provide basic amenities such as food and drinking water to the PCCF during his stay at a guest house in the reserve.

Recently, Jannaram Deputy Range Officer Thirupathi and a FBO Srinivas were suspended for neglecting forest protection.
