The forest officials said that the tiger was located near Areguda village, located around 10 kilometres from Easgaon. They stated steps were being taken to divert it into the deep forests and to prevent another human loss. They requested the villagers not to venture into agriculture fields till 10 am and complete farm activities by 4 pm. They advised the farmers to move in groups and to avoid sudden confrontation with tigers.

Residents of villages numbered 1, 3, 5, 8, 9 and 10 in Easgaon Gram panchayat, Nazrulnagar, Seethanagar, Anukoda, Gannaram, Kadamba, Areguda and Babanagar villages of Kagaznagar mandal were living in the grip of fear following the killing of the woman by the tiger. Section 144 of Criminal Procedure Code (CrPC) or 163 of Bharatiya Nagarika Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS) was already enforced in these villages in the wake of the incident and to prevent people from venturing out in unsafe circumstances.
