Hyderabad: The condition of BRS chief and former Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao, who was admitted to Yashoda Hospital in Somajiguda on Thursday after developing a mild fever, remains stable. With improvement in his health, he is likely to be discharged later today (Friday).

Rao was admitted with general weakness, and preliminary investigations revealed elevated blood sugar levels and low sodium. All other vital parameters were within normal limits, according to hospital sources. He has shown improvement following medication to manage diabetes and restore sodium balance.

BRS MLC and his daughter, K. Kavitha, visited him at the hospital on Friday morning. After receiving an update on his recovery, she resumed her scheduled engagements with Telangana Jagruthi, which is preparing for a rail roko protest on July 17 to demand 42% reservations for Backward Classes (BCs).
