Nagarkurnool: In yet another suspected case of food poisoning, four students of the government primary school at Gorita under Timmajipet mandal in the district have fallen ill after consuming mid-day meals at the school.
The students were served tomato rice and egg for lunch. However soon after consuming the food, the students complained about stomach ache and nausea. Immediately, the teachers arranged a doctor and treatment was being extended at the school, according to reports.
Incidentally, the State government issued orders about constituting the Institution Level Food Safety Committee to oversee the cooking and the food served in various institutions to prevent food contamination and food-borne diseases.
Chief Secretary Santhi Kumari had issued orders. The Committee members were directed to taste the food for quality and other factors and then the food should be served to the students.
