Telangana girls shine in CBSE Class X results, outperform boys

As per the Central Board of Secondary Education, which released the Class X exams results on Wednesday, 25,263 girls from Telangana secured a pass percentage of 99.93 percent, while 31,127 boys got 99.70 percent. Overall, the State registered a pass percentage of 99.80.

Hyderabad: Telangana girls continued to outperform boys in the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) Class X examinations results that were declared on Wednesday.

A total of 25,263 girls secured a pass percentage of 99.93 percent while 31,127 boys got 99.70 percent result.


As per information shared by the CBSE, 56,444 Class X students registered from 559 schools in the State. Of the total, 56,390 students appeared for the examinations that were conducted from February 17 to March 11 in 176 centres and 56,276 students passed, accounting for a pass percentage of 99.80.

As for management-wise results, JNV and KV students from the State achieved cent percent results in the Class X exams, while government and independent school students secured 99.85 and 99.78 percent results respectively.

Overall, the pass percentage has gone up by 0.04 across the country. As many as 24,83,479 students registered, 24,71,777 appeared and 23,16,008 passed, which accounted for a pass percentage of 93.70. Girls have outshone boys nationally too, with 94.99 percent result while boys secured 92.69 pass percentage.

Region-wise, both Trivandrum and Vijayawada topped with 99.79 percent pass percentage, followed by Chennai region that secured a 99.58 pass percentage.A

At the national level, the overall pass percentage was 93.70 per cent — marginally higher than last year’s 93.66 per cent.

The results were announced at 4 p.m. and are available on the Board’s official websites, as well as on the DigiLocker and UMANG platforms, enabling students to conveniently access their scorecards.

This year, a total of 24,83,479 students registered for the examination, of whom 24,71,777 appeared and 23,16,008 were declared successful, indicating a stable and consistent performance trend.

Among the top performers, 55,368 students — around 2.24 per cent — secured 95 per cent and above marks. In addition, 2,21,574 students, or approximately 8.96 per cent of successful candidates, scored 90 per cent and above.

Overall, nearly 2.75 lakh students fall within the high-achiever bracket, reflecting strong academic outcomes.
