Telangana government transfers T-SAT to Education Department

The Telangana government has transferred T-SAT from the IT and Communications Department to the Education Department. The move, formalised through an order by the Chief Secretary, aims to streamline satellite-based educational services and improve access for rural and underprivileged communities.

Hyderabad: The State government has transferred the T-SAT from the Information Technology and Communications department to the Education department. An order to this effect has been issued by Chief Secretary K Ramakrishna Rao.

The general administration (cabinet) department has been instructed to take necessary action to issue an amendment to the Telangana government business rules accordingly. The Education department was asked to take necessary action accordingly.


The previous BRS government had established T-SAT (Telangana Skill and Academic Training) under the IT, Electronics and Communications department, aimed at improving educational access and quality training through satellite-based transmission, targeting underprivileged and rural communities in the State.
