Telangana govt partners with Juventus to promote football excellence

Hyderabad: The Government of Telangana is committed to providing world-class sports training for its athletes, Telangana Sports Minister Vakiti Srihari said.
Speaking at the launch of the “Telangana × Juventus Sports Diplomacy Initiative”, a joint collaboration between the Telangana Department of Sports and Italy’s legendary Juventus Football Club at Gachibowli Stadium here on Monday, Srihari said while the government, institutions, and coaches extend their full support, it would be the athlete’s sincerity and perseverance that lead to ultimate success.
“Under the leadership of Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy, the Telangana Government is giving high priority to sports, especially reviving Hyderabad’s rich football legacy through initiatives like this one,” the Minister said.
Jayesh Ranjan, Special Chief Secretary, explained that Juventus — one of the most prestigious and successful football clubs in the world — brings decades of expertise in player and coach development to this partnership.
A team of Juventus’ professional coaches from Italy has been conducting intensive training camps for young footballers and local coaches in Hyderabad till October 17. These sessions will focus on technical excellence, teamwork, discipline, and global sportsmanship, the core values of the Juventus philosophy.
A P Jithender Reddy (Advisor to the State Government on Sports), Sivasena Reddy (Chairman, Sports Authority of Telangana State), Dr Sonibala Devi (Vice Chairman & Managing Director, Sports Authority of Telangana), G. Domenico Milano (Consul General of Italy, Bengaluru), and Shri K T Mahi (Chairman, Srinidhi Educational Institutions), among others, attended the event.
