Telangana govt signs pact with Ambani-backed Vantara for new Future City zoo
The Telangana government signed an agreement with the Ambani family-run Vantara Zoo to develop a 200-acre zoological and eco-tourism zone in the proposed Future City, with technical support for night safari planning, animal welfare, visitor facilities and PPP-based development modalities

Hyderabad: The Telangana government on Monday signed an agreement with the Ambani family-operated Vantara Zoo for establishing a new zoo in the Future City.
The agreement was signed at the Telangana Rising Global Summit. The State government has earmarked 200 acres for establishing the new zoo. It is being dubbed as an Ecotourism and Zoological Development Zone.
As part of the agreement, Vantara will extend technical and advisory support and share expertise in formulating night safari, operations and maintenance security aspects, officials said. Modalities would be explored for development of the new zoo under Public Private Partnership. Setting up enclosures, wild animals’ welfare and improving visitors’ experience at the new zoo are also part of the agreement.
