Telangana Rising Global Summit showcases trillion-dollar growth ambitions
The Telangana Rising Global Summit in Hyderabad highlighted the State’s economic ambitions, with leaders projecting a $1 trillion economy by 2034 and $3 trillion by 2047, alongside investments in healthcare, infrastructure, and innovation to position Telangana globally

Hyderabad: The two-day Telangana Rising Global Summit began at Meerkhanpet after Governor Jishnu Dev Varma formally inaugurated the event in the presence of Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy and other dignitaries.
In the inaugural address, the Governor said the Telangana government was moving ahead with specific targets and aims to become a three trillion USD economy by 2047.
“Telangana is leading in innovations. Special focus is being laid on the expansion of airports, railway and road network and attention is being taken to extend the required amenities in all sectors,” he said.
Addressing the gathering, Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy said the aim was to become a $1 trillion economy by 2034. “Telangana has taken inspiration from China, Japan, Germany, South Korea and Singapore and now, we are getting ready to compete with them,” he said.
Nobel Laureate Kailash Satyarthi said the State government was surging ahead in tune with the Viksit Bharat’s plans. “Achieving the Telangana government’s target of becoming a $1 trillion economy by 2034 is not impossible,” he said.
Apollo Hospitals Executive Chairperson Shobana Kamineni announced that in the next three years, Rs 1700 crore would be invested in healthcare sector in the State. Nobel Laureate Abhijit Banerjee addressed the gathering virtually. CII past president R Dinesh, Union Minister G Kishan Reddy and others also spoke on the occasion.
