The villagers alleged that a majority of the residents were not considered for the sanction of the Indiramma houses

Bhongir: Residents of Vangala village in Gundala Mandal staged a protest against government Whip Beerla Ilaiah. The protestors displayed placards and raised slogans against the government and the Whip during the foundation stone laying ceremony for CC road works. The police intervened and dispersed the protesters.

The villagers alleged that a majority of the residents were not considered for the sanction of the Indiramma houses. The beneficiary lists were filled with names of the Congress workers. The names read out at grama sabha recently disappointed many. They demanded the inclusion of their names in the housing list, free power supply and the implementation of welfare schemes.
