Hyderabad: With a demand of Group-I Mains re-examination, scores of aspirants staged a protest at Dharna Chowk here on Friday. Stating that injustice was meted out to candidates who wrote the exam in Telugu medium, the aspirants demanded justice.

Protesters lamented that candidates who wrote the examination in English medium were given good scores but not the ones in Telugu medium. They questioned how the Telangana Public Service Commission completed Group – I Main answer scripts evaluation in just 75 days.

Alleging that there were major issues in the evaluation, an aspirant said how could 70 candidates from one centre figure in the general ranking list?

The High Court had ordered the State government to hold the prelims examination but not to go in for a fresh notification. She alleged that through new notification several non-locals were given eligibility.

Another candidate wondered how none from Telugu medium background figured in the top 800 in the ranking list. Several aspirants also found fault with the answer scripts evaluation, alleging several students either got same or similar marks.

Further, they also questioned the TGPSC and State government on giving two different hall tickets Group – I preliminary test and Main examination. The aspirants demanded the government revoke the GO 29 and hold the Group – I Main examination, implementing the GO 55.
