Hyderabad: Justice K Lakshman of the Telangana High Court on Monday sought explanation from Ranga Reddy District Collector C Narayana Reddy on non-compliance of the court orders with respect to disputed Bhudan lands in survey numbers 181, 182, 194 and 195 at Nagaram village in Maheshwaram mandal of Ranga Reddy district.
The judge was dealing with a contempt case filed by Birla Mallesh, who complained about the Collector’s disobedience to court order in permitting private persons to change nature of land and undertake constructions in the disputed lands.
The judge also issued notices to IAS and IPS officers in a connected contempt case for allegedly carrying out construction activity in violation of court order.
Earlier, the court presided by Justice CV Bhaskar Reddy had directed the Collector to put the disputed lands in Nagaram village on prohibited list of properties and not to change nature of land or permit constructions. The Collector and the authorities claiming the disputed property have violated the court order, contended the petitioner. Seeking response from the Collector and other officers, who were made parties to the contempt, the judge posted the matter to October 10 for further hearing.
