Hyderabad: A two Judge panel of the Telangana High Court comprising Chief Justice Satish Chandra Sharma and Justice N Tukaramji on Thursday directed the State Educational Department to file its counter in failing to take any action against the Krishnaveni Talent School, at Diamond Point which was constructed without any permission from the competent authority. C Venkatesh filed the said PIL contending that the school was running without obtaining any NOC from the Fire Safety Authority and Police Department. The panel directed the State to file its counter within six weeks.

Clarification sought on speed limiting devices

The same panel on Thursday adjourned a PIL filed against the Central and State Transport Departments seeking clarification on procedure and guidelines for fitment of speed limiting devices and in not implementing the guidelines and procedure for fitment of speed limiting devices. The panel was dealing with a PIL filed by The Right Society, a NGO. The petitioner contended that, the guidelines given by the State and Central governments for fitment of speed limiting devices is not in line with that of the letter issued by Apex Court Committee on Road Safety. The panel directed the State Government to file its counter.
