Hyderabad: A two judge bench of Telangana High Court comprising Justice K Lakshman and Justice K Sujana on Tuesday reserved its verdict in a matter pertaining to allotment of prime land worth 350 crores for establishment of International Arbitration and Mediation Centre (IAMC) at Serlinghampally. The bench was dealing with a public interest litigation case filed by Koti Raghunatha Rao, an advocate, challenging the allocation of 3.7 acres of Govt land situated at plot No 27 in Sy No 83/1 Raidurg, Sherlingampally, RR District to IAMC, Hyderabad.
The GO 76 issued by law Dept sanctioning 3 crores to IAMC as operating expenses is also challenged. The petitioner argued that the said allotment of prime land which is worth of crores at free of cost to a private entity (IAMC) is unreasonable and arbitrary. The petitioner has impleaded Telangana High Court represented by its Registrar General, as party to this case. On detailed hearing of both sides, the bench has reserved its verdict, and the same will be out soon when the bench pronounces its orders. The decision is keenly awaited.
