Hyderabad: The State government has accorded permission to enhance the basic honorarium of all Home Guards in the State by 30 per cent. This is subject to the enhanced remuneration that shall be paid with effect from June 1, 2021 payable in the month of July 2021.
The enhancement of remuneration should be applicable to all the Home Guards engaged with prior permission of the government and continuing with its order from time to time.
The annual increments or enhancements, if any, already sanctioned from July 1, 2018, should be subsumed in the 30 per cent enhancement of honorarium permitted now and there will not be any further increments, a GO issued by the State government on Tuesday said.
The next revision of honorarium should be on par with other contract or outsourcing services engaged in other government departments or entities, according to Ravi Gupta, Principal Secretary (Home) to government.
Gupta said the DGP will take necessary action in the matter, accordingly. The daily duty allowances drawn by Home Guards stands at Rs.807 from April 1, 2021 due to yearly enhancements from 2018 to 2021 (for four
consecutive years).
The government accorded permission for enhancement following a request by the DGP.
