Telangana horticulture department to hold training on vegetable processing

Hyderabad: The Department of Horticulture, Telangana, is conducting a training programme on ‘Processing methods of vegetables and millets’ that will enable significant opportunities for enhancing income, reducing waste and improving nutrition, along with proper processing, packaging and marketing.
The training programme will be held between 10 am and 1 pm on April 26 at Telangana Horticulture Training Institute (THTI), Red Hills, under the ‘Mana Illu Mana Kuragayalu’ programme. The programme is also aimed at creating awareness on the processing of vegetables and millets, involving turning raw products into safe, edible and nutrient-rich food products, enhancing shelf life and value, thereby promoting public health.
