Hyderabad: If the proposal of the Telangana Board of Intermediate Education fructifies, students may have to shell out Rs 100 more for the intermediate public examinations scheduled for February 2026.
Currently, a fee of Rs 520 is being charged for humanities streams and Rs 750 for science courses. The Board has proposed to hike this fee by Rs 100, citing high fees charged by AP BIE and CBSE. “The proposal is pending with the government,” said a senior Board official.
The Board is planning to hold inter exams 2026 either from February 23 or 25. A schedule has been sent to the government for approval.
Meanwhile, the Board extended the last date for submission of corrections, if any, in the nominal rolls data of the first- and second-year general and vocational streams for the academic year 2025-26 up to October 21. Colleges have been asked to make changes in the college online services and pay the requisite fee to the Board on or before the deadline. They have also been asked to ensure the correctness of students’ data as the same will be used for issuing hall tickets, memorandum of marks, and pass certificates.
