Hyderabad: Practical examinations for Intermediate students will be conducted in March. Last year, due to Covid-19 pandemic situation, practical exams were held as home-based assignments for the Intermediate first year vocational students, while full marks were awarded to students of regular streams. Now, students have to attend the practical examinations in their respective colleges. “Now that colleges have reopened for physical classes, practical exams will be conducted in the colleges concerned. The practical exams will be held covering 70 per cent of the total syllabus this year and a schedule for the same will be issued soon,” said an official of Telangana State Board of Intermediate Education.

On the other hand, Intermediate students will be assessed in Ethics and Human Values, and Environmental Education examinations via assignments. Students will be given assignments which have to be completed at their homes and submit the same at their respective colleges. As per the rule, both examinations are qualifying in nature in the Intermediate Public Examinations (IPE).

Meanwhile, the Board has initiated steps for conducting the IPE 2022 in the month of May. As decided, the IPE will be conducted covering 70 per cent of the total syllabus this year as well. Students will be given more choices among the questions.

The last date to pay fee for IPE 2022 without a late fee to the respective principals of the junior colleges is February 4. With a late fee of Rs 200, the exam fee can be paid between February 5 and 10. The colleges will accept exam fee with a late fee of Rs 1,000 between February 11 and 17. Students can also pay the exam fee with a late fee of Rs 2,000 between February 18 and 24.

Second year regular students who appeared for first year IPE 2021 are permitted to appear for the improvement in their first year passed subjects in IPE 2022.
