Telangana: Jagtial DMHO dies of heart attack

District Medical and Health Officer Dr Akula Srinivas died of cardiac arrest early Saturday morning after complaining of chest pain. He was rushed to a hospital but was declared brought dead. Officials and leaders have expressed shock and grief.

JAGTIAL: District Medical and Health Officer (DMHO) Dr Akula Srinivas died of a cardiac arrest on Saturday, early morning. Srinivas developed pain in his chest at around 4.30 am. Family members shifted him to hospital, where he was declared brought dead by doctors.

Srinivas, who used to work as a programme officer, has recently been appointed as DMHO following the transfer of previous DMHO to another place on deputation. Since he is a native of Jagtial town, Srinivas has a good connection with various sections of the people. Medical and health department officials, walker association, and political leaders expressed deep concern over the death of Srinivas.
