Hyderabad: BRS working president KT Rama Rao strongly condemned the recent attack on Chilkur temple chief priest CS Rangarajan, also questioning the BJP and Congress for their silence. He demanded accountability and swift action against the perpetrators, besides ensuring the safety of Rangarajan.

“Defenders of Dharma attack, while defenders of the Constitution sit back and watch,” he remarked, slamming the inaction of both the Congress government in Telangana and the BJP leaders, calling them self-proclaimed protectors of Hinduism.

“There are videos of the attack and in two days, did the Telangana government do anything? Shame,” he said.

He demanded to know where the Home Minister was. “Where is the Chief Minister? Does anyone have answers?” he asked.

Calling the attack a cowardly act by fringe elements, he pointed out there was no word from the protectors of Hinduism in this regard.
