Hyderabad: BRS Working President K.T. Rama Rao has strongly criticized the distribution of Chief Minister’s Relief Fund (CMRF) cheques by the defeated Congress candidate Voditala Pranav in Huzurabad. In a series of tweets, he highlighted the misuse of resources and questioned the legality of the actions taken by the Congress party.
He pointed out that distributing CMRF cheques to 26 villages using 25 vehicles and 100 police personnel for security is an unnecessary expenditure. KTR questioned the value of the cheques distributed compared to the cost of deploying such a large number of vehicles and police personnel.
“Is it lawful to distribute CMRF cheques through a defeated MLA candidate? Moreover, providing police security for such distribution is against the constitution,” he tweeted. He expressed his dismay at the Congress party’s actions, stating that it is shameful for a defeated candidate to distribute cheques in a constituency where a BRS MLA is present.
