Telangana: KU Campus police SI, driver caught by ACB while taking bribe
A Sub-Inspector of Kakatiya University Campus police station and his private driver were caught red-handed by ACB officials while allegedly accepting a Rs 15,000 bribe in Warangal for extending favours in a criminal case

Hanamkonda: Kakatiya University Campus police station Sub-Inspector Pogula Srikanth and his private driver Mohammed Nazeer were caught red-handed by ACB sleuths on Thursday when they were allegedly accepting bribe.
The SI allegedly accepted a bribe of Rs 15,000 from Nazeer at KU junction for issuing a notice to the complainant, facilitating early filing of charge sheet and release of vehicles along with mobiles seized in a case.
The tainted amount was recovered and the accused would be produced before the special judge for ACB cases in Warangal, said an official release.
Two drug peddlers held with MDMA in Bachupally
Hyderabad: The Bachupally police caught two persons on charges of drug peddling and seized 12 grams of MDMA on Thursday.
The arrested duo – Chandu (22) and Sanjappa (32) along with the absconding suspects Shaiju from Goa and Yashwanth from Bengaluru procured drugs from known dealers and smuggled them into Hyderabad and sold to local consumers at a high rate.
Following a tip-off, the duo was nabbed. Efforts are on to trace and nab other suspects, police said.
