Telangana logs 2,484 new Covid infections, 1 fatality on Sunday

Hyderabad: Telangana on Sunday has registered 2,484 Covid-19 infections out of which 1,045 positive cases were from areas under GHMC. The health authorities also reported a Covid fatality on Sunday, taking the overall number of deaths in TS to 4,086. The active Covid-19 positive infections in Telangana, have surged to 38,723 as on Sunday.
Apart from Hyderabad, Omicron driven Covid infections are registering significant increase in other urban centres of Telangana with authorities reporting 138 cases from Medchal-Malkajgiri, 130 cases in Rangareddy district, 108 from Nalgonda and 107 from Khammam.
The health department conducted 65,263 Covid tests on Sunday out of which results of 1,581 samples were awaited. On Sunday, 4,207 individuals had recovered with a recovery rate of 94.38 per cent.
So far, a total of 3,20,38,448 Covid-19 tests have been conducted in the State out of which 7,61,050 have tested positive and 7,18,241 persons have recovered.
