Mancherial: A man was killed, allegedly by his brother, following a quarrel at Akkepalli village in Chennur mandal on Tuesday.

Chennur Inspector Ravinder said that Kodipe Mallaiah (45) died while undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Karimnagar.

Mallaiah sustained serious head injuries when his elder brother Bheemaiah beat him with a stick after picking up an argument over water from the former’s bathroom flowing onto the premises of his house on Sunday.

He was immediately shifted to hospital. Mallaiah is survived by a wife and son. Bheemaiah, who was reportedly in an inebriated condition, was arrested and produced before court.

He was remanded in judicial custody.
