Khammam: Manugur police station in Kothagudem district and Vemsoor police station in Khammam district have bagged the Best Police Station awards for the year 2021.
Manugur police station has won the award in category-3 (300-500 FIRs). The best police stations were selected based on the results achieved related to the parameters such as effective investigation, precision analysis, crime prevention, proactive policing, community engagement and others.
Manugur Inspector of Police (CI) Bhanuprakash received the award from DGP M Mahender Reddy at a ceremony in Hyderabad on Friday, said a release here on Saturday. SP Sunil Dutt congratulated the CI and staff of the police station over the achievement.
Similarly, Vemsoor police station received the award in category-1 (1-200 FIRs). Enkoor Sub-Inspector of Police (SI) Sai Kumar, who earlier worked at Vemsoor, received the award from the DGP. Khammam Commissioner of Police Vishnu S Warrier congratulated SI Sai Kumar and incumbent SI and staff of Vensoor for the achievement. The police stations were selected in four categories based on various criteria to promote the best talent, he said.
