Telangana: MLC delegation led by Kavitha seeks funds

The delegation met Dayakar Rao on Wednesday and submitted a representation seeking funds for Zilla Parishad Territorial Constituencies and Mandal Parishad Territorial Constituencies

Hyderabad: Telangana Legislative Council members led by Nizamabad MLC K Kavitha appealed to Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao and Panchayat Raj Minister Errabelli Dayakar Rao to allocate more funds for local bodies.

The delegation met Dayakar Rao on Wednesday and submitted a representation seeking funds for Zilla Parishad Territorial Constituencies and Mandal Parishad Territorial Constituencies. The MLCs earlier took suggestions from the local body representatives like ZPTCs, MPTCs.

“In order to represent the interests and concerns of local body representatives, we as a delegation of local bodies representatives met Minister Dayakar Rao,” Kavitha said in a tweet after the meeting.

Briefing media persons, MLC Bhanu Prasad said: “We discussed issues brought to our notice by local body representatives during the last few meetings. We thank the Minister for responding positively. We will also take up the issues with the Chief Minister.”
