JAGTIAL: An MTech student, Parepalli Srikanth, who went missing three days ago, was found dead in SRSP canal on the outskirts of Metpalli town on Sunday morning.

A native of Hyderabad, Srikanth was studying M Tech in Sangareddy JNTU College.


Recently, he was warned by the lecturer about his poor studies in front of other students. Upset over the teacher’s humiliation, he went home four days ago.

On the same night, he went missing from the home. His parents had lodged a complaint with the police as well.

Local people, who found a body in the canal, alerted the police. Knowing about the incident, police rushed to the spot and confirmed him as Srikanth with the details found on the spot. The body was shifted to hospital for postmortem.
