Telangana: Multiple vehicle pile-up on NH-44 near Nizamabad; No fatalities reported

A major pile-up on NH-44 near Chandrayanpalli village in Nizamabad district left over a dozen people injured. Two trucks and three cars were involved in the crash. Miraculously, all passengers, including a motorcyclist, sustained only minor injuries.

Nizamabad: Over a dozen people had a miraculous escape after a multi-vehicle pile-up on National Highway 44 near Chandrayanpalli village in Nizamabad district on Tuesday evening.

According to police, a truck heading towards Hyderabad from Nizamabad went out of control and rammed into three cars before coming to a halt. Moments later, another truck following the same route crashed into the stationary truck, jumped the road divider, and hit a motorcyclist coming from the opposite direction.

The incident occurred around 5:30 p.m. and led to a massive traffic jam on the busy highway. One of the impacted cars was flung off the road and landed in a nearby agricultural pond.

Remarkably, all the passengers in the vehicles, including the motorcyclist, escaped with only minor injuries. Police teams rushed to the spot, shifted the injured to nearby hospitals, and worked to clear the traffic congestion, which was resolved within an hour.

An investigation is underway to determine the exact cause of the mishap.
