Telangana: Nirmal RMO bags Vaidya Shiromani Award
Recently, on the occasion of 72nd Republic Day celebrations, Dr Venu was also awarded the Corona Warrior National Award by the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India.

Hyderabad: The Resident Medical Officer (RMO) of District Hospital in Nirmal Dr Venu Gopal Krishna has received Vaidya Shiromani Award-2021, in recognition for his services in the hospital during the lockdown. Recently, on the occasion of 72nd Republic Day celebrations, Dr Venu was also awarded the Corona Warrior National Award by the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India. On the same day, Dr Venu also received the District Collector Award for the 25th time in his career.
He previously worked as the District Coordinator of Hospital Services (DCHS), Adilabad and was awarded the prestigious Vaidyashree and Vaidya Ratna awards during his tenure. Dr Venu not only worked towards raising awareness about Covid-19 during the lockdown, but also took care of the patients admitted in isolation wards during the period. He has received over 25 awards for his services towards the poor, especially in Adilabad and Nirmal. The doctor had also conducted several medical camps and blood donations camps.
