Warangal: The National Institute of Technology, Warangal, has declared that it had chosen six faculty members for the Institution awards for 2018 and 2019 years.

According to official sources, Prof DVLN Somayajulu of Department of Computer Science and Engineering (2018) and Prof A Kumar of Department of Mechanical Engineering (2019) have been chosen for the Best Faculty Award in the Engineering stream. While Prof A Ramachandraiah (ARC), Dept of Chemistry was chosen for the award in science stream for the year 2018, there were no applications in this category for 2019.

Prof Y Pydisetty, Dept.of Chemical Engineering won the Best Researcher Award (2018) in the Engineering stream, while Prof A Kumar Dept.of Mech.Engg, won the same award for 2019.

Meanwhile, Best Researcher Award in Sciences is Prof K Laxma Reddy of Dept.of Chemistry in 2018, and Dr N Venkatathri from the same department won the award for 2019.

On other hand, Dr K Kiran Kumar of the Dept.of Mech.Engg won the Young Researcher award in 2018 in the Engineering, Dr A Seshagiri Rao of the Dept of Chemical Engineering won the same award for 2019, and Dr Ch Ramreddy of the Dept.of Mathematics won the Young Researcher award in Sciences for the year 2019. NITW, Director, Prof NV Ramana Rao has congratulated the selected faculty members for being selected for the awards.
