Jagtial: Nursing staff and other employees of the district headquarters hospital, who danced in the hospital during Christmas celebrations on Friday, are now facing an enquiry.

Setting aside duties, the staff had danced near the patients’ ward and stopped after noticing media persons. It is learned that following a request from the staff, Resident Medical Officer Suman had given them permission.

On knowing about the incident, Additional Collector Goutham Reddy visited the hospital and conducted a preliminary enquiry. When told that the RMO gave permission as there was no work, he said it was not proper to perform dances while on duty on the pretext of lack of work.

He instructed officials to take action by conducting an enquiry.
