Telangana: Octogenarian survives Covid-19, granddaughter dies

Narala Sampath, his wife Geeta, mother Laxmi and two daughters, residents of Vemulawada, tested positive for the virus 15 days ago.

Rajanna-Sircilla: An 80 year-old woman survived a Covid-19 attack but her 26-year-old pregnant granddaughter succumbed to the deadly virus late on Sunday night in Vemulawada town.

Narala Sampath, his wife Geeta, mother Laxmi and two daughters, residents of Vegetable Market area, tested positive for the virus 15 days ago. All of them were admitted in a private hospital in Karimnagar.

Three days ago, Laxmi was discharged from the hospital after she tested negative for the virus. However, one of the daughters, Sharvani, breathed her last while undergoing treatment on Sunday night. The young woman, who got married four years ago, was pregnant.

The other family members are still undergoing treatment at the hospital.
