Telangana offices, schools to remain closed for Milad-un-Nabi

Schools, educational institutions and government offices across Telangana will remain closed on Wednesday for Milad-un-Nabi. Hyderabad is also set for religious programmes, with the Markazi Milad Juloos scheduled to begin at Charminar and culminate in Moghalpura

Hyderabad: Educational institutions and government offices across the State will remain closed on the occasion of Milad-un-Nabi on Wednesday. The State government has declared Milad-un-Nabi a closed holiday.

Several schools have already announced Wednesday as a holiday and sent out messages to parents. However, some schools have decided to hold special classes for Class X students.

Meanwhile, the stage is set for Milad-un-Nabi, the birth anniversary of Prophet Mohammed, with celebrations on Wednesday and several religious programmes lined up across Hyderabad.

The Markazi Milad Juloos, the main procession, will begin at Charminar and proceed towards Moghalpura via Gulzar Houz, Pathergatti, Nayapul, Darulshifa, Mandi Mir Alam, Etebar Chowk and Kotla Alijah before culminating at Moghalpura.
