Hyderabad: BRS social media convener Manne Krishank has been served fresh notices by the Madhapur police in connection with his posts in an old case. Notices were handed over to him at Telangana Bhavan on Tuesday.

Speaking to the media, Krishank said the Congress government was targeting him out of political vendetta for raising questions on its failures, unfulfilled poll promises, and anti-people policies. He said he had been summoned by the Gachibowli police four times including one scheduled for April 23.

“Except for asking me 66 questions on the first day, the police have done little but made me wait for hours. Now, a fresh case has been filed at Madhapur police station,” he said, noting that the latest notice comes shortly after he approached the State Human Rights Commission over alleged police harassment.

The BRS leader revealed that 21 cases have been filed against him so far over his social media campaigns. “The Congress government seems to have no better work while people are struggling. Now I’ve been served notices for a case filed in March 2024 by TPCC vice-president Kumar Rao over an old post. This is clearly an attempt to distract from the BRS silver jubilee celebrations and harass the BRS leaders,” he said.

He also objected to repeated phone seizure requests. “The Madhapur police already seized my phone in another case. Now both stations want the same device. How is that even possible?” he asked. Krishank vowed to continue questioning the government despite 22 cases filed against him. “We speak on behalf of the people. I will consult legal experts and take further action,” he asserted.
