Telangana police recover over 1.24 lakh lost mobile phones via CEIR system

Telangana police have recovered 1,24,850 lost or stolen mobile phones through the CEIR system since September 2022. The state has also blocked over 4.8 lakh devices, making Telangana the top-performing state in mobile phone recovery, said officials

Hyderabad: The Telangana police have successfully recovered 1,24,850 mobile phones that were lost or stolen by owners, based on complaints reported on the Central Equipment Identity Register (CEIR) since 5 September, 2022.

The police had also blocked 4,82,652 mobile phones that were tracked down, while it received 2,82,260 reports of traceability.


“Telangana has emerged as the top-performing state in the country in recovery of stolen or lost mobile phones,” said DG Charu Sinha.
