Telangana police seize 437 kg ganja, arrest two Uttar Pradesh men

The Telangana police’s EAGLE Force and Choutuppal police arrested two men from Uttar Pradesh for allegedly transporting 437 kilograms of ganja in an SUV on the Vijayawada highway. Two other accused are absconding, while police continue efforts to trace them.

Hyderabad: The Regional Narcotics Police Station of the EAGLE Force team of Telangana police, along with the Chotuppal police station, caught two natives of Uttar Pradesh while they were transporting ganja in a SUV 500 car. The police seized 437 kilograms of ganja, two mobile phones and Rs 27,500 cash from them.

The arrested are D Saleem (34) of Merad district in Uttar Pradesh and Aman (22), a resident of Merad district in Uttar Pradesh. Two others, Ameeruddin and Feroz, both residents of Meerut in Uttar Pradesh, are absconding.


On specific information, the RNPS team, along with Chotuppal police, stopped the car on the Vijaywada highway and caught Saleem and Aman while they were transporting the ganja in a car to Uttar Pradesh. Efforts are on to nab Ameeruddin and Feroz, who are absconding.
