Telangana Poultry Federation, NECC celebrate World Egg Day
The Telangana Poultry Federation and NECC’s Hyderabad Zone jointly celebrated World Egg Day to raise awareness about the nutritional benefits of eggs. The event also highlighted the upcoming Poultry India Expo 2026, scheduled for November 25 to 27 in Hyderabad.

Hyderabad: The Telangana Poultry Federation and the National Egg Coordination Committee (NECC), Hyderabad Zone, jointly organised World Egg Day celebrations here on Friday to raise public awareness about the nutritional value and health benefits of eggs.
The programme, supported by the Indian Poultry Equipment Manufacturers’ Association (IPEMA)–Poultry India, was attended by Animal Husbandry Minister Dr Vakiti Srihari, Ibrahimpatnam MLA Malreddy Ranga Reddy, and representatives of the poultry industry, farmers and others.
Uday Singh Bayas, president of IPEMA–Poultry India, highlighted the importance of eggs as an affordable, accessible and nutrient-rich food source. “Eggs are a powerhouse of nutrition, packed with high-quality protein, essential vitamins, minerals and other vital nutrients that support growth, strength and overall well-being,” he said.
He invited poultry farmers, industry stakeholders, entrepreneurs, professionals and the public to participate in the 18th Poultry India Expo 2026, scheduled to be held at the HITEX Exhibition Centre in Hyderabad from November 25 to 27, with Poultry Knowledge Day on November 24.
