Hyderabad: The Telangana Private Degree and PG Colleges Management Association (TPDMA) on Tuesday threatened to boycott upcoming regular semester examinations, if the Congress government fails to release their long pending fee reimbursement dues.

In a plea to Chief Minister, A Revanth Reddy, association president Dr B Suryanarayana Reddy and general secretary Yada Ramakrishna urged him to clear pending fee, amounting to Rs 2,500 crore, by March 20.

For a few colleges, not even one percent of the dues were released, creating a lot of financial distress among the managements as they cannot run the colleges due to financial burden and increasing debt, the association said.

“In case the arrears are not received by March 20, we will not be holding the regular second, fourth and sixth semester examinations scheduled to commence in the first week of April,” they added.
