Telangana: Rain lashes erstwhile Medak district

While Siddipet district recorded average rainfall of 36.5mm, Medak and Sangareddy districts recorded 32mm and 20mm respectively.

Sangareddy: Bringing cheer to the farmers, most parts of Sangareddy, Siddipet and Medak districts witnessed rains in the past 24 hours. While Siddipet district recorded average rainfall of 36.5mm, Medak and Sangareddy districts recorded 32mm and 20mm respectively.

Chinnakodur in Siddipet district received heavy rainfall with the mandal recording 93mm rainfall.


Gajwel, Kondapaka and Dubbak Mandals recorded 78.6mm, 66mm and 62 mm rainfall respectively. Nizampet in Medak district received heavy rainfall, recording 92.5mm rainfall while Manoharabad received 63mm.

Gummadidala mandal in Sangareddy district recorded 63.8mm rainfall. Since paddy procurement across erstwhile Medak district has not been completed, paddy that was brought to procurement centres was damaged in several places.

Meanwhile, the farmers across the district are preparing to commence sowing operations for Vaanakalam season.
