Telangana registers 4,976 new Covid cases, 35 fatalities

Hyderabad: Telangana has reported 4,976 new Covid infections and 35 fatalities on Sunday taking the cumulative number of deaths to 2,739 and the total number of positive cases to 4,97,361. The number of active cases in Telangana, as on Sunday evening, has reached 65,757.

Between Saturday and Sunday, authorities conducted 55,358 Covid tests of which results of 1,700 samples were awaited. On Sunday, 7,646 individuals have recovered with a recovery rate of 86.22 per cent. So far, a total of 1,36,13,004 Covid-19 tests have been conducted in the State out of which 4,97,361, have tested positive and 4,28,865 persons have recovered.

The Covid-19 positive cases reported from the districts included 47 from Adilabad, 94 from Bhadradri Kothagudem, 851 from areas under GHMC, 179 from Jagitial, 34 from Jangaon, 46 from Jayashankar Bhupalpally, 80 from Jogulamba Gadwal, 34 from Kamareddy, 271 from Karimnagar, 138 from Khammam, 26 from Kumram Bheem Asifabad, 208 from Mahabubnagar, 126 from Mahabubabad, 115 from Mancherial, 33 from Medak, 384 from Medchal-Malkajgiri, 29 from Mulugu, 124 from Nagarkurnool, 110 from Nalgonda, 38 from Narayanpet, 26 from Nirmal, 99 from Nizamabad, 92 from Peddapalli, 80 from Rajanna Sircilla, 417 from Rangareddy, 178 from Sangareddy, 304 from Siddipet, 217 from Suryapet, 150 from Vikarabad, 106 from Wanaparthy, 56 from Warangal Rural, 218 from Warangal Urban and 66 from Yadadri Bhongir.
