Telangana releases Rs 1,000 crore to clear dues of retired employees

The Telangana government has released Rs 1,000 crore to clear pending dues of retired employees and increased the monthly allocation to Rs 1,000 crore. Pending GPF arrears up to October 2025 have been cleared, with directions to process medical bills quickly.

Hyderabad: The State government on Wednesday released Rs 1,000 crore to clear pending dues of its retired employees, following directions from Deputy Chief Minister and Finance Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka. Finance Department Principal Secretary Sandeep Kumar Sultania issued orders in this regard.

The government also increased the monthly allocation for clearing employee dues from Rs 700 crore to Rs 1,000 crore from the current financial year.


Officials said pending General Provident Fund (GPF) arrears of retired employees up to October 2025 had been fully cleared. The government also directed all departments concerned to process medical bills without delay. The move is aimed at addressing long-pending financial issues of employees and retirees, officials added.
