Hyderabad: The State Government has sanctioned Rs.10 lakh financial assistance under Chief Minister’s Relief Fund (CMRF) towards treatment of Kolluri Chiranjeevi, convenor of Telangana Movement Founders Forum in 1969.

This was after TRS working president and Industries Minister KT Rama Rao spoke to the family members of Kolluri Chiranjeevi over phone on Saturday and enquired about his health status. He immediately directed the officials to extend financial assistance under CMRF. Kolluri Chiranjeevi is undergoing treatment at a private hospital in the city and is placed in ICU. “Today my father’s birthday and IT Minister KT Rama Rao offered the much-needed help immediately by extending financial assistance for treatment,” said Kolluri Chiranjeevi’s daughter Ajitha.
