Telangana schools to close for 50-day summer break from April 24

Telangana schools will close for the 2025–26 academic year on Thursday, with a 50-day summer break starting April 24. Schools will reopen on June 12, while results of SA-II exams will be declared and parent-teacher meetings held.

Hyderabad: The Telangana schools will ring the last bell of the academic year 2025-26 on Thursday as students will break for a nearly 50-day summer break from April 24. The schools will reopen for the academic year 2026-27 on June 12.

The schools have already concluded the summative assessment (SA) – II examinations on April 18 and results will be declared on Thursday and a parent-teacher meeting will also be conducted.


Meanwhile, in view of school closure for the summer vacation, School Education director Dr. E Naveen Nicolas instructed officials concerned to issue necessary directions to schools’ headmasters not to relieve teachers who have been deputed on OD basis for the academic year 2025-26 on April 23.
