Schools across Telangana reopened for the 2026-27 academic year after a 52-day summer vacation. Attendance remained low as reopening coincided with Amavasya. The State government also relaunched the breakfast scheme and introduced a milk scheme in select government schools.
Telangana schools will close for the 2025–26 academic year on Thursday, with a 50-day summer break starting April 24. Schools will reopen on June 12, while results of SA-II exams will be declared and parent-teacher meetings held.
The schools have already sent out invitations to parents to attend the last parent-teacher meeting for the present academic year to discuss their wards academic progress.
