Telangana: Seven-year-old girl dies of dengue in Narsapur

The girl collapsed in the classroom, following which she was taken to a corporate hospital where she was declared dead

Medak: A seven-year-old girl died, reportedly of dengue, in Narsapur town on Saturday.

Jinkala Sahasra (7), daughter of Narsing and Lahari, a Class 1 student in a private school, fell ill three days ago. Sahasra was taken to a doctor in the town, who had prescribed some medicine. She went to school on Saturday.

However, she collapsed in the classroom, following which she was taken to a corporate hospital where she was declared dead. Her parents said her platelet count had come down drastically since she was diagnosed with dengue.
