Siddipet: Hours after former Minister T Harish Rao’s visit to Timmapur, District Collector K Hymavathi inspected the village on Sunday and directed health officials to conduct dengue tests for all those suffering from fever and related illnesses.
The Collector toured the village, interacted with residents to assess the severity of the situation, and reviewed sanitation measures taken up locally. A health camp was set up as the number of dengue cases continued to rise.
Hymavathi also instructed the DM&HO to seize a hospital being run by an unqualified person treating dengue patients and to file criminal cases against him. She suggested that the panchayat staff carry out fogging and bleaching regularly in Timmapur.
Calling on villagers to observe a weekly dry day by emptying water containers and removing stagnant rainwater, she stressed the importance of public cooperation in preventing mosquito breeding. The Collector further asked health officials to monitor patients admitted in private hospitals as well.
District Panchayat Officer Devaki Devi, DM&HO Dhanraj, MPDO Ram Reddy and others accompanied her during the inspection.
