Telangana: SSC students to receive both marks and grades
Certificate will be issued with subject-wise internal, external and total marks, along with subject-wise result and final result, for academic year 2024-25; results to be released soon
Hyderabad: Students who appeared for the SSC Public Examinations March 2025 will be awarded both marks and grades.
As per an order issued by Education Department Secretary Dr Yogita Rana on Saturday, the SSC certificate will be issued with subject-wise internal, external and total marks, along with subject-wise result and final result, for the academic year 2024-25.

Further, students will be awarded grades for co-curricular activities. The certificate will not mention results such as first, second or third class, but simply state as a pass regardless of the total marks scored by a student.
It may be mentioned here that by scrapping the grade system – A1, A2, B1, B2, C1, C2, D1, D2 and E, the State government reverted to old practice of awarding marks to Class X students from the academic year 2024-25.
The government scrapped the internal assessments as well only to restore them for this academic year as schools had already completed three internals before the decision. To determine the marks certificate format, recommendations of an experts’ committee have been approved.
The government orders said both marks and grades would be shown subject-wise in the certificate.
This decision has paved the way for announcing the results, which will be declared shortly. A total of 5,09,403 students, including 2,58,895 boys and 2,50,508 girls, registered for the examinations that were conducted from March 21 to April 4.
