Telangana: Stalker killed by girl’s uncle in Jagitial
Mukka Gopi alias Gopichand had been harassing the girl for some time and the family had also lodged a complaint with the local police against the youth.
Jagitial: A youth who was stalking a girl was killed by the latter’s uncle at Venkatraopet in Metpalli municipality on Wednesday night.
Mukka Gopi alias Gopichand had been harassing the girl for some time and the family had also lodged a complaint with the local police against the youth.
Despite the police complaint, Gopi continued to harass the girl. Unable to tolerate the nuisance, the girl’s family even shifted residence to another place. The boy then started harassing Bedugam Narender, the girl’s uncle, to bring her back and get her married to him.
On Wednesday night, Gopi went to Narender’s house and got into an argument with him. Vexed by the harassment, Narender stabbed Gopi with a knife, killing him on the spot.
On coming to know about the murder, CI Srinu and SI Sadakar visited the spot and shifted the body to government hospital for postmortem. Police began investigation after registering a case. Besides harassment, two robbery cases were also registered against the deceased.
