Jagtial: Stage is all set for the three-day Hanuman Chinna jayanthi celebrations scheduled to be held in Kondagattu Anjaneyaswamy temple from April 1 to 3.

Elaborate arrangements have been made for the jatara in which about three lakh devotees from different districts of the state as well as adjacent Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra and Chhatisgarh are expected to take part.

Devotees, who took hanuman deeksha, visit the shrine to conclude their deeksha. While some of them had already reached the temple, many were on their way on foot from different places.

Since heavy rush is expected at the shrine, temple authorities have decided to cancel all ‘arjitha sevas’ for three-days. Additional quantity of prasadams including 50,000 laddus, Pulihora and others have been prepared for the convenience of devotees.

Besides establishing drinking water distribution points in different places, temporary pandals, welcome arches, special queue lines, parking places, temporary toilets and other arrangements were made. Medical camps are also established to provide treatment to pilgrims.

In order to conduct jatara in a peaceful manner, police made tight security arrangements by deploying additional force. More CCTV cameras have been set up in addition to the existing ones.

Special arrangements have also been made to conduct cultural programmes. Collector B Satya Prasad, who visited the shrine on March 24, examined jatra arrangements.
