Hyderabad: The ‘Praja Sangrama Yatra’ of Telangana BJP State president Bandi Sanjay Kumar was flagged off from Sri Bhagya Lakshmi temple at the historic Charminar here on Saturday.
Before the commencement of the yatra, Sanjay along with the BJP State in-charge Tarun Chug, Union Tourism Minister G Kishan Reddy and other senior party leaders performed puja at the temple and addressed the gathering from the dias put up at the Charminar.
Speaking on the occasion, Sanjay called upon the party activists to drive away the MIM, which is having the ideology of Taliban. He listed out various initiatives taken up by the party to help people.
Sanjay started the walkathon to achieve what he described as ‘Democratic Telangana’. The padayatra will be in four phases, with the first phase starting from Charminar.
The yatra, covering 750 km in the first phase, will be completed in 55 days. In the first phase, he will cover erstwhile Ranga Reddy, Medak, Nizamabad and Karimnagar districts. The route map has been prepared in such a way that Sanjay will conclude the yatra in Huzurabad on October 2..
